New Scott McClellan Memoir Highly Critical of First Scott McClellan Memoir

Washington, DC | Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan has published a scathing criticism of his confessional memoir, What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception, which appeared in bookstores yesterday.
The new memoir, released this morning, attacks yesterday's volume on almost every level, calling it a "serious strategic blunder" based on faulty judgement and aimed at manipulating sources of public opinion. He is also condemns a "complacent and uninquisitive" news media.
McClellan said he was "surprised and disappointed" by the tone of What Happened when informed about it last night, adding, "This is not the Scott you knew on Tuesday."
McClellan's publisher responded angrily Thursday to McClellan's attack on Wednesday's memoir, calling it "self-serving sour grapes" and announcing McClellan is writing a book, to be published on Friday, scathing critical of both earlier works.
