John McCain Proposes Tax Holiday for Cindy McCain
Washington, DC | Republican Presidential hopeful Senator John McCain today proposed a "tax holiday" for his wife, brewery heiress Cindy McCain, as the centerpiece of his economic stimulus package.
When asked how this plan would benefit U.S. consumers, McCain responded, "Oh, I don't know anything about economics. I just wanted to do something nice for Cindy. I mean, she's like half my age and I'm gonna make damn sure I keep hittin' that."
In recent weeks, McCain's Democratic rivals have offered similar proposals more directly targeting their respective support bases. Senator Hillary Clinton has suggested a tax holiday on chewing tobacco and NASCAR tickets, while Senator Barack Obama is in favor of a tax holiday on lattes and croissants.
