Her impressive performances at the Indy 500 and Texas Motor Speedway have pushed the tooth-to-fan ratio over the halfway mark for the first time in almost 35 years. "Nascar, drag racing and demolition derby fans skewed the numbers for years," said sports periodontics historian Fermez LaBouche. "But an overwhelming majority of Danicamaniacs have a full mouth-load of choppers. The question now is whether these record highs can be maintained." The trend parallels a similar phenomenon in 2003 when the Dixie Chicks briefly raised the tooth average of country music fans to thirteen.
