Swift Boat Veterans for Truth Book of the Month Club
Washington, DC | An enterprising group of entrepreneurs has discovered that if you repeat a lie often enough, it will make the New York Times Bestseller list.
The same folks who gave the world Unfit For Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry aren't shutting down the presses just yet. They hope to build a literary empire based on the old formula for success: "You can fool some of the people all of the time."
Each month, book club members can choose from fact-filled volumes like Nicotine: Delicious and Non-Addictive by Tobacco Industry Spokesmen for Truth, or Ecology Schmecology: DDT, Asbestos and Lead Paint Got a Bad Rap by Dow Chemical Sales Reps for Truth.
Subscribers could also select a classic like No Really: I Only Buy Playboy for the Articles from Masturbators for Truth, or a newer offering such as Click Here: To Be Removed from Our Mailing List by Spammers for Truth.
In addition to eagerly awaited titles from Conservative Talk Show Hosts for Truth, Enron and Haliburton Executives for Truth, and Pedophile Priests for Truth, the book club plans to venture into other specialty niches. Currently on the drawing board is a line of "I Won't Cum in Your Mouth" Valentine's Day cards.
