The Redesigned Texas Flag
Austin, TX | To honor its most famous native son, President George W. Bush, and its most famous native daughter, Jessica Simpson, the Great State of Texas has made a few modifications.
The most noticeable alteration, mandated by a recent statewide referendum, is to the State Flag. The famous "Lone Star" has been replaced by a "Lone Brain Cell" which, presumably, Bush and Simpson will have to share.
Additional changes reflecting the State's current international status:
The State Bird, formerly the mockingbird, is now the Dodo. The State Flower is now the Dillweed instead of the bluebonnet. And "If I Only Had a Brain" replaces "Texas, Our Texas" as the State Song.
Reached for comment, Simpson giggled, "Remember the Alamo? I can't even remember where we parked the Lexus car."
