Sorority Stages Nude Protest
Sydney, AU | Members of an Australian university sorority have staged a nude protest to express their displeasure with groups who stage nude protests.
Organisers in Tappa Haffa Kegg say they were simply tired of the international publicity recent nude anti-war rallies, particularly those in Australia, have been getting.
"It's giving our country a bad reputation," said protester Sheila Whitepointers. "Whether or not you agree with the cause, it just makes it look like Aussies will get naked at the drop of a hat."
The sorority acknowledged the irony of protesting against nudity by parading nude through public streets. But, as Whitepointers explained, "It was the only way we could get anyone to pay attention to us."
