EU Economy Collapses
Stockholm, SE | Less than one week after Sweden's national referendum rejected converting to the Eurodollar, the European Union has plunged into economic chaos.
The final count, 49.9% in favor and 50.1% against, was the closest EU vote on record. Many europhiles blame the defeat on the Swedish Bikini Team, who ran an independent campaign to switch from Kronor to wet t-shirts.
With widespread loss of confidence in the fledgling EU currency, and its resulting devaluation, member states have reverted to the barter system. Economists are bracing for a catastrophic influx of Belgian waffles, French postcards, German lederhosen, Italian sausages, Spanish fly and Greek anal sex.
Other member nations of the EU will be using something else, but nobody cares.
