Running Low on Freezer Space
Cooperstown, NY | Major League Baseball today confirmed they are running dangerously low on space at its Hall of Fame Cryogenic Museum. MLB's Board of Regents blame poor planning, franchise expansion and dropping television revenue.
Hall of Fame President Dale Petroskey estimates the facility will reach maximum capacity early next year. "We've been moving people around in a desperate attempt to squeeze everyone in," he said. "I've even climbed in there myself and scraped off frost with a screwdriver."
Petroskey admits they occasionally remove some "lesser stars" to make room for players with more drawing power. In addition, employees are now discouraged from using the freezer for temporarily storing their lunch or sodas.
Without immediate additional funding, Petroskey warns that MLB's dream of one day having a "For-Real Ultimate All-Star Game" seems unlikely.
