Crustaceans Slam Bush
for "Crawdad" Remark
Washington, DC | Representatives of the Pan-Oceanic Shellfish Alliance (POSA) have staged a massive demonstration protesting President Bush's comparison of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to a crayfish.
In an angry statement released by POSA, Bush was chastised for his lack of sensitivity to other species, and accused of going back on yet another campaign promise.
The POSA statement reads, in part: "When the human called Bush declared that man and fish can coexist peacefully, we took the air-breather at his word. We fell for it hook, line and sinker when he promised to be a healer and not a divider. This is a lie, just as surely as the promise to bring integrity back to his so-called White House."
It goes on to conclude, "In our estimation, Bush is the one doing the 'crayfishing.' He has stabbed us in the back with a fork and dipped us in delicious garlic butter."
POSA also expressed outrage at the term "crawdad" - the actual word used by the President during his remarks - saying it is an offensive slang expression for their diminutive, mud-dwelling cousins, and further demonstrated Bush's insensitive bigotry.
