Kabul Blockbuster Hits CNN
with Late Fees

Kabul, AF  |  The Cable News Network disputes allegations that it owes thousands of dollars in late charges to a Kabul Blockbuster for renting hundreds of Al-Qaeda training videos, and keeping them longer than the allotted three days.

Store manager Onom Ato Poeia says the news organization still has many of the tapes, and his calls to return them have been ignored.

"It's been now five days," Poeia claimed. "Some of those tapes we only have the one copy, and my other customers have begun now to complain."

A spokesperson from CNN insists that, except for a dozen or so, all the videos were returned within the three-day limit.

CNN also argues that several titles on their receipt were never rented in the first place.

"We never took out these Al-Qaeda cooking tapes," CNN protested. "And this Bomber Blooper reel, what's up with that?"

Blockbuster has also charged CNN's account with an undisclosed sum for not rewinding.
