Scientists Believe Humpback Whale
Songs are Hip-Hop

San Diego, CA  |  Researchers at Sea World believe they have deciphered the 25-year-old mystery of the phenomenon known as "Songs of the Humpback Whale."

New universal translation technology has enabled project managers to conclude the low-frequency emissions are the underwater equivalent of Rap Music. Some typical phrases were found to include "wazzup wit dat," "pop da booty" and "yo yo yo what up dawg yo."

Additionally, it has been discovered that a majority of whales really don't like the songs, which can sometimes go on for as long as half an hour. They seem particularly annoyed when one of them is trying to sleep and another, usually adolescent, whale comes nearby making the loud, monotonous noise.

In a related project, it is now believed the clicking noise Dolphins make is actually some form of tap dancing.
